The Rodrigo

3 oz. raspberry vodka
Iced tea*

Fill an eight-ounce glass with ice, then squeeze a wedge of lemon over the ice. Add the wedge to the glass, and pour in the raspberry vodka. Fill the rest of the glass with iced tea.

Brewed black tea (black or green) is rich in polyphenols, a class of antioxidants that help neutralize damaging free radicals in your body. Those antioxidants can reduce your chance of some heart diseases and skin cancers, a definite benefit to cyclists, who spend a lot of time in the sun. Caffeinated tea also boosts your metabolism, aiding your weight-loss efforts. And research has shown that caffeine combined with carbs consumed after exercise can replenish some lost glycogen in your muscles.

*Put three or four bags of black tea into a heatproof pitcher. Pour two cups of boiling water over the bags. Steep for five minutes, remove tea bags, and add sugar to taste. Let cool to room temperature.
